FreeRange Permaculture maintains linkages with several businesses & organisations within our field. Organisations * Permaculture International Limited PIL is Australia's peak permaculture organization, providing services for members in Australia and around the world. PIL is a democratically controlled charitable organization located in Australia created to support permaculture and permaculturists. PIL acts as a communication and organizational hub for Australian permaculture and permaculturists. Permaculture Cairns is a is a non-profit community group of over 50 people. Their mission is to implement sustainable design systems throughout the Cairns community & the Far North region, through education, communal design projects & the shared individual experience of Permaculture. * The Permaculture Research Institute Geoff Lawton of the PRI was our Permaculture Design Certificate teacher and inspiration to start FreeRange Permaculture. The PRI offers a range of permaculture courses and maintains one of the best public permaculture forums on the web. Businesses * Australian Felix Permaculture Darren Doherty is the principal of Australia Felix Permaculture and has been identified by Permaculture Co-Originators Bill Mollison & David Holmgren as a pioneer in retrofitting broadacre agricultural systems. Based in Bendigo, their mission is to raise the profile of permaculture design to the point where it becomes an unconscious practice as opposed to a marginal methodology. Based in Mudgee NSW, Nick Ritar and Kirsten Bradley manage Milkwood Permaculture, a business that supplies educational courses and offers system design to both urban and rural clients. Together they are also developing their property Milkwood, as a Permaculture demonstration site.
